| Connection confusion!
Hi guys, beginner alert! After much deliberation & reading up ive decided to go for a pioneer 575 to replace my ageing sony 536,The main reason being a one box solution for dvd, sacd, & dvd-a as well as hopefully a crisper picture & sound, even if the build quality is a little below par.
I know i need to connect the 5.1 channel out into my amp for the sacd & dvd-a playback but the question is do i also connect the digital out for movies using the decoder in the amp? and also if i want to listen to normal cds do i have to connect up the left & right stereo outs as well or will that be handled by the 5.1 or digital connections?
Current cd duties are taken care of by an ancient L.D. player as the sony appears to try and split the sound into surround sound even though it is normal stereo!
