Post How hot?

Hi guys.
How hot should a disc be after seeing a movie. Just upgraded my dvd. Got a Pioneer 737 instead of my old panasonic a110. Watched a movie yesterday and noticed afterwards that the disc was fairly hot. Not burning but still... Can't remember that the disc were that hot before. Strange.

My Sony 725 also heats up discs to a fair old temperature.

I've had a Panasonic, Pioneer and now a Toshiba and they all heated the discs up quite well. The Panny used to make cd's alot warmer than DVD's.

If the MPEG PCB is located anywhere near the optic then you'll get the heat given off by that board transfered to the disc.
The IC's on that board do get hot.
