Does RGB pass-thru work OK

I have a TV with 1 RGB scart and 2 devices (DVD and PS2).

I have always had my DVD and Games console connected via a SCART switch, which works.. But its a pain.

It also means that its a waste to use a quality scart cable as the switch is in-line.

One of my pre-requisits for my new DVD player is 2xSCARTS

It looks like I will go for a Pioneer 545, but I wondered if anyone is using the RGB pass-thru feature.

Does the DVD player pass through the RGB signal when its in standby without any ill-effect?

Is there anything else to consider?

Any info appreciated

I've got my digibox running through my DVD player with no adverse effects that I can see, very handy!

the sony x25 and x35 ranges have 2 scarts and pass through works fine.

I did have pass through between my digibox and Sony 725 until i moved over to component video for the dvd player.
