Is the Tosh 530 worth keeping?

hi all,

i recently bought a CA 77 from R sounds but took it back as on most dvds it flicked constantly between "panoramic" and "full" on my tv, i couldnt get it to stop, the player was connected with RGB scart to jvc 28" nicam tv. i have "widescreen" and "rgb" selected in the dvd player menu, and changing these makes no difference. even if i selected "panoramic" in my tv menu instead of auto, it still does it. its been put down to and "incompatibility issue" with my tv

so...i ended up bringing home a tosh 530, it seems ok, but i have to say i preferred the 77, hope to upgrade to a flat screen in near future, but have read so many pros and cons about 530 what do people on here think?

or rec something else in £80-150 range?

thanks

The pioneer 575 or Toshiba 340e are both better machines - browse he 'head to head' thread for info on these fab players.
