Question DVL909

Help!.
I have a Pioneer DVL909 LD/DVD player and its been great. It has been modified for multiregion. But recently new release DVD's have been causing a problem (You Only Live Twice, League Of Gentlemen, East is East), they simply won't play. The player starts up, and gets stuck trying to read the title page at a particular point - no visuals, and poor quality repeating audio. The remote stops working too!
Anyone else suffered from this - and have you got a fix.
Pioneer politely told me to bugger off because I had it modified.

It works with all the old films, and many new releases, but some (appear to be DVD9 format, although even some of these work) are failing.
Its very strange

Thumbs up

I have the same player with the same mod as you and I have just got the REG 2 version of League Of Gentlemen and it works with no problems.

Do you have the REG 1 version ?

I have the reg 2-4 version (I can't imagine them ever releasing a 1 version as I don't expect the humour would work in the US).
Thanks for all your interest in this, it looks like I 'll just have to wait for a costly repair!
