Where can I buy an RCE compatable Toshiba SD200E?

I phoned DVDmagic yesterday to find out when I could expect my player, they said they had recieved a shipment of SD200's that day and would me shipping them out the next day (today), so I can expect it to arrive on Monday. Adam, Let us know when yours arrive's will you, PLZ.

I also phoned them yesterday as I haddn't received any email conformation. They told me the same - that they had just received shipment and would be sending it out today (Friday). I'm hoping it'll arrive tomorrow, but it'll probably be Monday.

I'll let you know when it turns up.

Do you have any R1 RCE protected discs to try on the player, as I would like to know for certain that they work.

It arrived yesterday!

So far I have tried it with:
DVD Region 2
DVD Region 1 (Not RCE)
VCD
Audio CD
Audio CD-R

I just love the quality of this player!

I don't have any SVCD, CD-R/W, or RCE R1 DVDs to try.

I'd like to know how they claim their mod enables them to play RCE discs.
Its an auto region select mod and its that fact that gives Toshiba players problems with RCE discs.
I hope they are not going to palm you guys off with the well known work-arounds to get the discs to play.
Techtronics claim they are the ONLY people to offer a RCE compatible mod for the Toshibas that does not need a work-around.

Techtronics mod is also 'auto' only.

I emailed dvdmagic.net before I bought the player asking if a keypad hack was required and they told me that RCE is supported automatically and that no hack is required - so I have it in writing if they have been lying!

I need to get my hands on an RCE disc ASAP so that I can test the player.

Does anyone have a list of DVDs that use RCE?

I dont have any RCE discs to check either, but the player is great. I instantly noticed the better quality picture compared to the Denon 1000 that I returned.

I haven't as I don't have any RCE discs at the moment. I would buy one but I don't fancy any that are released yet.

I'm pretty sure U-571 R1 isn't RCE, played it twice on my SD200E [Richer Sounds], so unless I am very lucky ....

Haven't tried any RCE titles myself yet, saw Hollow Man on VCD and the film content was pretty predictable & pedantic, The Patriot strikes me as "let's make another Braveheart type film", so haven't rented it, and don't know anyone who can lend it to me.
