Any High Definition DVD's?

Is there any high definition DVD's available?
I have the Panasonic AE700 projector and the Pioneer DV S969AVi player and still think most of the DVD's I buy are still fairly poor quality even on HDMI.
I use a 2.7mt wide screen and really want the best looking picture.

The only decent DVD I know of is "Terminator 2 Extreme Edition" By Artisan.
The source for this DVD is a High Definition source so the picture quality through DVi or HDMi is amazing.

Much better than any DVD ive seen in the past.

Well worth a purchase as its a good movie and you can use this DVD to test your set up picture quality.

If you want true HD movies, wait for Blu Ray Disk or HD-DVD to come out.

I know how you feel Murray. I'm the same. In fact, I recently got rid of my T2 Ultimate Edition and replaced it with the Extreme Edition because the picture quality is reportedly a lot better. I was very disappointed with the quality of T2:UE and can't understand how people used this as a demo disc. However there are some great quality transfers out there. Training Day is one that always springs to mind.

There are 2 alternative formats available from Asia right now: EVD and HVD

I also know how you feel, i have a hcpc using ffdshow linked to a Z2 and some of the films are pretty poor. Some movies though do look very good, the Rock Criterion edition looks exceptional so does Bad Boys 2.

i thought that superbit was the best print curently available?
how does the t2 'ed' compare to superbit?

Apparently a 2 disc set ( 1 disc SD & 1 disc HD) so you'll have to watch it twice for a real comparison

I was under the impression that to fully evaluate a disc that it had to be watched at least 12 times
