Question which cheapie dvd player from ebuyer?

hi all,

I`m looking at changing our DVD player and don`t want to spend much more than £50, at ebuyer.co.uk there are lots of DVD players that are under this price and appear to get good reviews including the yamada and the DK one.

Which should I get , I would prefer to have optical out, prog scan, and component out if possible.

I will be playing this through a Epson TW10H projector.

So what are your thoughts, or am i being sill y going for a cheap one, and should save some more and get a better quality second hand one perhaps?

Many thanks in advance

Nathan

I bought a Yamada from Amazon a while ago for £34. Works beautifully through my Sony projector.

Hey, at that price if it doesn't work, get another!

ebuyer have the DK digital 915 for £52 delivered
no component out, but RGB (scart), s-video, composite
sound, digital coax, digital optical, stereo phono, 5:1 phono
plays every writable media, wma, mp3 off dvdr, divx, xvid, and most other media files

remote is a bit naff and chunky, but what do you expect for that price.

hi,

thanks all for your replies, does the dk digital do prog scan?

I have had a look at the Philips DVP630, and it looks like a very nice player, and my other half likes it a lot.. (she is buying it for me , so it does matter!!)

Any other thoughts on the DVP630 what is it like at playback, not really bothered about the Divx bit.

Although I don't own one (yet!), based on my experience of the Panny E55 Recorder, it's likely that you won't go wrong with the Panasonic DVD-S27 which eBuyer have on sale at £45 (plus postage). There's a link at the head of the DVD Players Forum with the Home Cinema Choice review of the item and it scores well (especially at this price).

Worth a look ?
