DVD players with DVI connectivity

Does anyone know of a DVD player that has a DVI input or output. I already know about the Sony STRDA9000ES, but I was wondering if anyone knew of anyother players with a DVI capability.

Also the Marantz DV12. The 8400 is now technically discontinued to be replaced by the 7500 and the 9500- both HDMI capable .

Look at the thread about the new Denon range: New Denon dvd players!!!!!

All their new range launched end of August/September will have DVI output, along with a load of other features to appeal to Plasma/LCD owners, like 1080i and 720p scaling. Even their "budget" £200 model supports these features. Plus the ones linked to in the thread are multi-region out of the box, and they look pretty nifty too...

John (Arcam)

I see that Denon are advertising there new 3910 player.
On the 3910 description on Denons USA website it mentions:

'HDMI Multi-Channel Audio Compatible output'

I thought this wasn't coming out till next year and we were stuck with only 2channel audio over HDMI for now ????????

Has the Arcam 79 got a 'HDMI Multi-Channel Audio Compatible output' ?

Regards,

Steve

Jackass - it depends what Denon means as all HDMI transmitters support Dolby Digital and DTS streams. The HDMI chips that support discrete multichannel audio (as in DVD-A) were not available at the time of the DV79's release so not surprisingly it doesn't support this. However the DV79 does output DVD-A as analogue, to a very high standard, and includes proper bass management etc.

Mister M - it is always difficult to comment in public on future product plans as such things are commercially very sensitive. However I think you can buy an AV8/P7 with confidence :-)

What dvi pal resolutions does the DV79 support?
My Pan. TH42-PWD6EX only accepts 576p @ 50 Hz...
If it should work I'll probably buy a DV79 and flog my Pio DV868avi which only works for ntsc, which means Il have to watch all 2 of my ntsc discs again again because the quality is so fantastic...
Thanks
Barend

DVI resolutions are 576/50 and 480/60 progressive in RGB. So it should work.
