Pioneer 868, Denon 2900 or Arcam DVD79

I have narrowed my choice down to these 3 players:

1. Pioneer 868

2. Denon 2900

3. Arcam 79

I am almost certain I wont be going down the HDMI path cos a 12m cable is £££'s

So component to Sony HS20 projector.

Might if I can justify it go for a Iscan too. But would I get much benefit one of these?

So out of the 3 players which one?

Jack

PS Dont be shy

That is a very big question to ask,as all 3 are totally different.

Pioneer looks ugly IMO, but is prob indistructable and will play anything, but has a noticeable layer change.
The denon looks better, but has a few issues and has a seemless layer change.
The Arcam looks stunning, but suffers the layer change, although is brilliant with Audio CD's and will give a better PQ IMO, but will suffer from a few issues.........not yet, but there will be some, there always is with Arcam.

I'd say they are all very good in one way or the other, so decide what one you dont mind looking at everyday and buy that.

Guess which i would recommend

I haven`t really compared the three so can`t comment on performance against the other two.
But i have recently sold my Iscan and can say that the player direct to the screen was better than through the Iscan !
