does the 868 play mp3 off a dvdr disc ???

does the 868 play mp3 off a dvdr disc ???

says it all in the title i have tried but cant get it work i have done on very cheap players filled the dvd rw with mp3 and it played them no hassels . but i cant get the pioneer to work any ideas

I've yet to spot any DVD player that'll read mp3 off DVDR yet.

KiSS players do, as well as DivX, XVid and other formats. They're not great machines and can be somewhat quirky but for an MP3 jukebox they're pretty good.

the one that i got it to work on was some cheap chinease rubbish that didnt even have brand on you would of thought the pioneer flag ship would be capable of doimg this

I agree with you, it's cretinous that the player software checks to see what sort of media is loaded and then only has a subset of file formats it'll look for.
