The good stuff.....
Ok, havent tested everything so far but tested a lot.
DVD Multiregion was setup out of the box so no need to use the remote hack. Blu-Ray region was locked to B as you would expect. This is what you get when playing a Region A title.
When there is no disc in the tray and the tray is closed all you need to type in is '973500 then enter' It will then set the Blu-Ray to region 0 which means there is no flaffing about typing in the code when you want to play region A or B titles. So multiregion DVD's and Blu-Rays will now play fine.
*EDIT* After using the new FW dated 14/1/10, the code 973500 no longer works for me to make everything multiregion without using the multiregion codes for each region now.

Next up was HDD and USB testing.
I couldnt get the Limit to recognise either a HDD or a USB that was formatted to NTFS, it has to be FAT32 or the player will not even pick it up. That was the case for me anyway.
Once formatted to FAT32, I used an mkv (HD content) and some avi's (vidx/xvid content) once each file was placed in a relevant folder they played superbly. Not a problem and it was flawless from both HDD and from USB. The good thing is, you can have a mix of mkv's and avi's and they will happily share space on your usb or hdd and the Limit will see them no probs.
Images (Jpeg's) played fine too, and mp3's were also fine.

DVD
The players upscaling from dvd's is really very good, I've tested my Denon A11, my PS3 and my Sony S350 and I dont see it being any worse that those at all.
BLU-RAY
Blu-Ray playback is what you would expect. There is a lot of people convinced by more expensive players being better in the pic quality department and a lot of people unconvinced. I'm definately in the unconvinced, this player shines, but then again they all do so I will not use any review magazine buzz words to sell it. I'll just leave you with the 'Its as good as any other player out there when it comes to pic quality'.
MKV/AVI
Lovin it. Plays flawlessly and they look great. Shame its FAT32 only.
SYSTEM
From system turn on to main menu it takes around 15 seconds and from inserting a blu-ray movie to it appearing to be able to play was around 32 seconds. It's also very quiet. Initial power-up was a bit noisey while the drive was tested and the fan was tested at full, but that lasted only 2-3 seconds and then it was silent.
------
CONS
I only had a couple of minute cons. The player has limits of FAT32 formatting so your mkv's over 4GB will not play, as a workaround I would recommend splitting them up, putting them in the same folder and they should play 'seamlessly'. When watching a film the seconds dont seem to be smooth, it sticks for a breif 1/2 second then jumps up 2 really fast and seems to do this all the time. It doesnt put the time of the film out of place but its weird to watch it doing that.
Did I mention it only cost me £50 !!!!
Hope this helps.
*Update* New 14/1/10 dated FW is out.
