Hi - I am looking to buy a BR player and want 5.1 HD sound. I have read a lot about lip sync problems with many new BR / TV / amp combo's and was wondering if anyone has experience of my TV BR combo. The players I am considering at the mo are Panny BDP 80 (no lip sync correction) & Sony S760 (with lip sync correction). If I am likely to have lip sync issues then I would consider an amp upgrade perhaps to Denon 2310.
I know from personal experience that my Panny plasma is different to the Samsung LCD I have in the kitchen. When both are on the same TV channel you can hear the lag I assume this is additional buffering / processing in the Samsung (which is this yeas model).

what problems?, in 2.5 yrs of blu ray usage I cannot think of any lip sync problems I have experienced. Blu ray is way better than the early PS DVD players. I wouldn't loose too much sleep over this one and concentrate of enjoying a new machine. Welcome by the way
