I noticed somewhere that one of the Denon DVD players have a 2mb buffer to avoid and pause in play in the transition of layers...

Do any other players have this function?

Any idea which Denon I saw this on....and does it work?

Time for layer transition does vary quite a bit.

Yes Denon's do have a larger buffer than most & therefore quicker transition. I have a Denon 3800 & it is pretty quick. How skilfully the actual disc is authored can go some way to helping this as well. If the layer transition is placed at an opportune momment in the movie it is virtually unnoticeable.

Other players can have very slow layer transitions, 2 seconds plus.

Some cheaper DVD-ROM based DVD players display no transition at all.
