Denon 2500 resolution problem

Hi guys I hope someone can help me I just bought DENON 2500 from crutchfields in Las Vagas the machine seems to work fine with us discs but it wont go above 720p with multi region discs. I had a panasonic bd30 also from us and never had any problem with it. Any help would be great as this is driving me nuts. The machine is connected to a Pioneer Kuro via QED HDMI. Thanks
