Source Direct Players

What is the cheapest Blu-ray Disc player with 'source direct' - one that will output what's on the disc for an external VP to de-interlace SD DVDs, etc?

I have no first hand experience of these but the Denon 1610 claims to supports source direct (resolution/freq) mode (£300). Also check out the Pio 320 (£330) and possibly the Pio 120 (£230) may support this but I'm not sure. Older players such as the Sony S300 or older Pio models may be kicking around cheaper.

Some maybe easier to make MR for DVD than others if MR is a requirement.

EDIT - Looks like the BDP120 doesn't support source direct but the BDP320 does.

Cheers.

You know, I wonder just how difficult/expensive it would be to put source direct on a player? Pence?

My Pioneer BDP-LX52 does Source Direct, do the cheaper BDP 120 and BDP 320 do it?

Must say though, never use it. The Pioneer upscales better than my tv.

The BDP 320 does but AFAIK the BDP 120 doesn't. In fact it appears the BDP 120 doesn't support SD interlaced over HDMI period.

Isn't the BDP-120 a Sharp badged up as a Pioneer?

I don't know how the Sharp/Pioneer design is managed. I guess they are technically all made by Sharp as a consequence of the Pioneer venture with Sharp on disc players.
