DVD HDMI with scart throughput?

Hi, does anyone know if there's a dvd player with hdmi output and a throughput scart socket, so I could watch my virgin sd box via the dvd on the TV I have which has no scarts?

Thanks jammy.

The only dvd players I've had which can do this are dvd recorders, now adays which will be one with a built in HDD, not the cheapest, but you can get then from most of the leading companies, Both my panasonic, (from diff years) allow this.

Thanks blaster9999, what was the older panasonic, might have a look on ebay for it. Just to be clear the dvd recorder allowed you to connect a tv box (freeview, virgin, sky etc) to it via scart then you could watch the tv box on your telly via the hdmi cable from the dvd recorder?

When it comes to dvd recorders can be a bit temparmental. My Panasonic ex 75 (which is the older of the two still working ), now only play dvd and will not burn to disc the hdd is rock solid. My ex 77 is pretty well identical, (apart fromlittle bit of tech such as being a better upscaler, also dvd drive seems to be more reliable). Really do your research, and would not recommend getting a dvd recorder without a decent warranty. By the way getting a HDD will change your life, hardly ever watch live broadcasts, and have used one with sky and a virgin box
sky / virgin in via scart. ==> dvd /hdd combo.
==> tv via scart /hdmi. (pick one out other wise tv gets confused )

PS don't know whether this wilol be a plus or not the all come with built in freeview so you can record from that. ( which I have done ) both my current machine are 160 gig, and like vcr allow you to vary recording speed, and quality, Also have the ability to upscale vis hdmi, just watch then wipe, no mislaid discs/ vcr tapes or left left lying around cluttering up the place
