I need to get an ok priced, feature full DVD player for my parents...

They don't really want anything "uber" but a few keys are progressive scan, component video, and the ability to play a wide range of media. Also, do most DVD players play VCD and SVCD? (This is actually something I was interested in)

It should have good reviews also. Normally I'd do more research, but I saw this site mentioned on tech tv and I needed help quickly. Thanks

Budget???Location?
If UK then HK DVD 25 or Marantz DV4300 if budget over £200 if less then RS stores or aldi!

Try getting hold of the American equivalent of our Pioneer 565 it should be cheaper over there than here and will handle most anything you can throw at it.
