Sound Trouble

HI,

Please take it easy on me I'm new to all this.
I have a Panasonic BD 35 and have an Yamaha Amp that only does 5.1 no DTS sound I have connected the player to the amp via an optical lead and the sound is all set to Bit stream I have just brought Disney's Bolt on Blu-Ray but as the only English track is DTS 5.1 HD and I get no sound when that is selected so is there any setting to get just 5.1 sound out or will I just have to watch the normal DVD not the Blu-Ray version? which to me is a bit crazy.

Any help would be Gratefully Appreciated
Thanks

Hi your amp wont decode your the DTS track, try setting your BD35 to PCM,not bitstream, your player, will then decode the track and sent the sound to your amp

Re: Sound Trouble

Try using your RCAs as an analog input device..
Depending on the amp, you should get Dolly Prologic or some thing like that...
