need some help.... as you know i got oppo 83 yesteday and the girlfriend has gone out tonight so ive sat down to watch transformers. quick loading, fantastic picture but no sound.... it is connected via RX-V765 using hdmi leads
any ideas? help!

Leave out the amp,connect direct to display and see what you get then.

played it straight to the tv and it worked fine so must be how it is connected to the amp... it the book it said it should be ok working with hdmi

Should work ok got to ask,but have you checked player settings? HDMI audio.
