I was starting to think about upgrading my 4 year old Sony DVP-725 and was considering either the Denon 2200 or 2900, however I've just read about the Pioneer 668 and 868 online and they look like they might be better(on paper at least).

My system consists of a Denon AVC-A1D, Epos ES22 fronts, Linn Centrik a washing machine sized home-made sub and some old B&W CDMs as rears. I've got a Tosh 43" RPTV an a Panasonic AE100 for the video duties. I've also got a Cambridge DAC for CD replay and a PRO-V de-interlacer for the projector.

I'm pretty happy with the sound quality at the moment, but always looking to improve it and now that I'm using a projector I'm also after an improvement in video quality.

What do people think? and is there another player I should be considering?
