kef kit 100

Hi , Just bought kit 100 but haven't got it installed yet. Can you let me know if the hack was successful and remained permanent - ie you don't have to go through the process every time you watch a different region dvd. How is the system anyway? - was it as good as you expected ?

Cheers.

I'm interested in this too. I took Saving Private Ryan in to my local dealer to have a demo and it sounded the dogs!!! Just waiting for my Panny500 42" to arrive so spent a few pennies but hoping to get the Kef in before Xmas.

I'm interested in the Region hack though as I've loads of region 1 disks.

Cheers

I tried and I can confirm that you have to do it everytime you want to change the zone.
This trick does not enable all zone on the player but just to change the zone from 1 to 5 in an incremental way.

Cheers.

Re: Kef Kit 100

For permanent multi region press vol up, skip back and play together. The display then shows "PAL". Switch off at the main switch for 30 secs then back on. This also resets everything so be prepared to put back in any settings. Any region DVD will now play.

Pressing vol up, skip forward and play sets the machine to play only one region, incrementing one each time.
