Sony DAV-DZ361W - how can I convert to region 1?

Sony DAV-DZ361W - how can I convert to region 1?
Does anyone know how I can convert my Sony DAV-DZ361W DVD player to play region 1 dvd's? I've looked on some sites for a code but can't seem to find one.

If a code is not possible for this player, does anyone know if there is a device I can buy that will play the region 1 dvd's via my existing dvd player so I don't mess up my surround sound?
