Sony DVD Player/Recorder. Update to play Region 1. ?

Hi,

I have a Sony DVD Hardrive Player/Recorder. RDR-HXD560. I would like to upgrade it to play Region 1 DVD's.

My Question:- Is this possible? I have no technical ability other than to press buttons and follow simple instructions. So? If it is possible. Can I do it myself or will it need taking to an expert?

Do you mean HXD-650?
