Perhaps I should start by saying that I've never really had any great interest in all things A/V, nor I must admit, have I had any great experience of it at any level other than what I have seen in high street shops and the efforts of a neighbour to convince me that surround sound was the way to go by forcing me to sit through the first twenty minutes of 'Saving Private Ryan' through his set-up.
