Blackberry reprogram/unlock?

Ive been offered one second hand thats connected to a BES, but I would need it to be a Prosumer (POP3) device - preferably using it with an O2 sim.

I dont know too much about blackberry. Is there anyone out there that knows if this is possible?

If there are any blackberry gurus out there, I would appreciate picking your brains. Thanks.
