Blackberry Storm 2 or 9700?

Hi all, looking for some user opinions of either device. Currently I have a BB 8900 which is great for work-email, instant messaging etc. As a media player it's adequate also (music rather than video). However, I need a better web browsing experience to keep constant track of social media and other web sites. By better I mean quicker, smoother and more responsive than the BB browser on the 8900, which is limited by it's GPRS speed. 9700 would presumably be quicker as it supports 3G. A bigger screen would help also, hence my interest in the Storm 2.

I'd rather stay Blackberry and have a single device that performs well at most things. The work e-mail / messaging element remains key and Blackberry excels at that. BB is also a good phone. So, I'd rather stick to BB rather than have to invest in an iphone / ipod touch purely for web/media.

Any comments? Published reviews on 9700 are generally excellent, Storm 2 reviews are mixed. However, it looks to me that the Storm 2 with it's large screen would naturally offer a better browsing experience.

Cheers.

I have come from a iPhone and the website browsing on that is unsurpassed and tbh cant be beaten I havent used a storm but would reckon its probably better than the 9700 which i now have and find it a little bit of a pain in the backside, ive also come accross the fact that the FaceBook app seems to be sluggish.

I may well see myself going back to my iPhone as at the moment my BB experience has been less than impressive - see my probs with MMS!!

The 9520 is much better for web browsing. I've got both handsets.

OK, the 9520 is the Storm 2 isn't it? Any other opinions on that phone then, the reviews seem to be very mixed.

Thanks.

I've tried both phones and preferred the 9700. I think it depends if you're a touch screen or button person altogether. I dislike touch although im 100% for the idea, just prefer buttons and a less dirty screen. The 9520 can be a lil slow sometimes, 9700 appears to be faster but i can't confirm if it actually IS or ISNT
