A friend of a friend is selling a Blackberry Curve 8900 for a good price and I'm very interested. I don't know the guy very well but he looks a bit dodgy - is there anything I can check on the phone when I take a look at it to prove it's not a lost or stolen phone?

I've just bought my g/f a Curve 8900 from ebay (a chap called devicemob) for about £235 - unlocked, boxed, brand new. If your chap is selling much cheaper (second hand) might be worth it, but I thought this was a good deal for brand new.

£150 for a used 8900 is about right. Note: check under the trackball, JUST under it, make sure theres not a crack there. Thats a very common issue on the 8900 and can be a pain to fix. It'll eventually stop the trackball from scrolling down.
