Have you looked at the networks websites?

And do you need a new phone? Or do you have a Blackberry you're happy to carry on using? If so, O2 now offer 'Simplicity for Blackberry' that offers everything you list from £22.50 on a 30-day rolling contract, but you don't get a phone with it. I pay £22.50 for unlimited texts, 300 minutes and unlimited Blackberry data.

You could combine this with a second hand or PAYG phone if you need one.

What networks offer the best coverage in the areas you spend most time (home, work, pub etc)? This should be the first step in working out what's best for you, as there is no point having a million minutes, messages etc if you can't use them

Cheapest (non-redemption crap) tarriff that I know of is orange Panther 25 which you can haggle dowen to £15 very easily. It's a 24m contract, £15/month. Has unlimited (3000 fair usage) texts, unlimited (500mb) internet+ BB services, 400 mins, BlackBerry 8520 (free).

If you think 500mb isn't enough (like I did), I use the internet on my phone and BB messenger for a total of 3 hours a day i reckon, and the most I've managed to clock up in a month so far is 60mb. Dont know how RIM do it, but the whole Blackberry data package reallllly condenses data. It's plenty. I even stream music with the Nobex Radio Companion application.. doens't run up the data (thats about 5hours a week).

.
Even for new customers ? I thought tariffs were pretty much set in stone with the networks.

You can get 300 mins, unlimited texts and BIS on T-Mobile for £20 with a free 8520. Im sure someone else had a link for this deal with the 8900 somewhere too.

Panther 25 on orange.

£15 per month:
400 mins to any network
unlimited texts
BB internet/email bundle

I had to pay £44.99 for a curve 8900 (8520 free)

But pretty good deal i thought!

States £25 online but talk to them!

Hmmm! That's strange!

Must have changed it to Panther 30.
But it is worth giving them a ring. Orange are very flexible. And it's only £2 more that P25 (and i got it for £15)
