Question Help please :-(

Hi,

I am hoping someone is able to help, before I start I am a novice to Blackberry 9700 and will need to be spoon fed with what what to do..

Basically, I added an email address but then deleted it. For some reason it messed up my phone but was still appearing in the Contact List and I could not delete it. I was told by someone to type in Rset which would get rid of the email address that seemed to be present. This worked but deleted all my contacts :-(

Now, when I have tried to add contacts in the contact list it just wont allow me to do this ... I dont know what to do ?? Is my phone broken. I tried to copy contacts from sim and this doesnt even seem to work

I am really stressing here can someone help????

Hi there scribble12

Good choice with the BlackBerry 9700, it's a fantastic phone!

If you've tried to add a contact to your phone manually, but it's not playing along, you can try a hard reset (while the phone is turned on, take the battery and SIM card out for a few minutes, then pop the battery back in and turn the phone back on without the SIM card inside. After about 10 minutes, put the SIM back in with the battery and turn the phone on).

Once you've got the phone back on again, you can update to the Host Routing Table to make sure you've got the latest communications running between the network and your phone.

To do this go to;
Options,
Advanced Options,
Host Routing Table
Register Now.

Once you've done that you can try adding a contact again.

Hope this helps

Helen
