Blackberry on 3?

Just wondering if anyone uses the Blackberry Bold or 9700 on Three? Been offered a pretty good deal with them but wanted to make sure their service was alright.

Been offered the same but £35 including Internet and Blackberry Service.

My partner has the phone on Orange and is very pleased with it,

Right guys,

I put a reply into a thread called 'new blackberry, lots of questions', and the person who started that thread is on 3 with the BB package, but it doesnt appear hes getting the full BB service. Check it out!

Personally I would go with Orange. The reaason being, im with o2 and they have a tight IT/firewall policy. Theres a few apps I cant use coz the IT/firewall blocks em. If I try to go around the firewall (which I can) Im charged at 'surfing the internet on PAYG' prices. My first bill scared the sh*t outta me.

I have a friend on Orange who can use ANY app and theres no IT/firewall restrictions. When my o2 runs out, im seriously considering Orange for BB package

I hope this helps, and correct me if I wrong

What restrictions have you came cross with O2? I've just upgraded to a Bold 9700 with them tonight and it will be going back if I can't use all the things I want to.

I am a major twitter addict and I can only use twitterbeak. Every other twitter app is blocked. I had trouble getting my GPS software to be recognised as well but I got around it by deleting and a fresh re-install.

Oh while im on the subjet of GPs, dont use googlemaps or BB maps, theyre both data heavy and too slow to update. Youve past your junction before it has time to point it out. Theres a free one called nav4all which is also voice command so you dont have to keep looking at the BB screen. and its so data light that the responces are instant

Hi ... I've got my 9700 on 3, but not the traditional way ... my other half bought me the phone outright for Christmas, and I put my exisiting 3 contracted SIM in it.

I phoned them and asked them to swap my U/L internet for the BB data pack ... they were both a fiver so all good.

Had some initial hiccups, but sorted it myself with a quick switch off and back on ... have got all the apps, and email and Messenger, etc work fine.

So far, I am absolutely loving this phone ... it's fab.

Regarding 3 as a network ... I've had issues with their customer services in the past ... and recently in my area there were issues with poor signal, which they've since sorted, but so far so good.

(Oh, my other half is also on 3 and hasn't had any problems with their service)

Hope it helps.
