So I'm hoping to get the 9700 soon, or at the start of January at least but after phoning up and asking a few questions I'm not sure exactly what it is I'm getting.

So the deal is from Carphonewarehouse, £30 a Month (which isn't terrible for me), and I'm considering this because it offers Unlimited Internet and E-mail.

I know though that you need to get BIS added on, right? They said with Orange is will be an extra £5, and they went on to tell me that with others it can go up to £7 more.

What I'm after knowing is whether this gives me the whole package or not? I take it I am after BIS so I can use everything this phone has to offer?

Am I correct in assuming that even though it says Unlimited Internet and E-mail (which would let me use both for an umlimited amount of hours with no extra cost?), but you still need BIS added on before you can use either?

On Orange it is everything, with T-Mobile, £5 gives you BIS, but you need to spend an extra £5 for unlimited internet.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully it should be arriving on Tuesday, though I'll need to phone Orange apparently for the BIS. Haven't a clue how it works, if they just activate something on their end and it starts working or they send something. Hopefully it all works out though.

Is that with T-Mobile? I didn't know what BIS was until the other day, so I apologise for what might be a moronic question. I'm going with Orange though, so I don't think I'd need it?

They said it was Unlimited Internet and E-mail anyway, and I'd just have to phone to get BIS added on.

T-Mobile BIS & web n walk are separate, £5 for each.

Yep, basically they flick a switch their end and you'll know once its active as the gprs indicator on your phone will capitalise and show GPRS (or gsm to GSM, 3g to 3G)

With Orange it is just a fiver for both, I use it on T-Mobile, as although it's a tenner, it enables me to switch my sim into my iPhone occasionally, as one thing to be aware of, with Orange (and O2) if you use a BB provisioned sim in a non BB phone and use the internet, you'll get charged for data usage.

Thanks for letting me know what to look out for! I'm glad it's not as complicated as I thought.

I think my iPhone is locked to 02 so I wouldn't be able to I suppose, though originally I had thought about trying to get it so I could switch back forth. I'll probably be better off as I am, and I plan to use each for different things. I don't have half the features on the iPhone switched on, because of the battery so I plan to use those with this Blackberry and take it around with me. The iPhone will be a bit of fun, I'll get some use from the apps from time to time.
