Mobile phone question...

Hey, i'm looking to buy my girlfriend a new phone for Xmas, she wants a Blackberry (not sure which one yet). My girlfriend is on o2 pay as you go at the moment and I'm on contract with Vodafone. My contract is just about up and I'm due another handset this month. Could I get her a Blackberry as my contract replacement phone and just unlock it and give it her to use on her o2 PAYG sim?

If so, do o2 do an unlimited internet option for PAYG customers?

Whilst O2 do indeed do an unlimited internet PAYG bolt-on (they also do a PAYG tariff with free internet), they do not offer a PAYG Blackberry bolt-on. So she would have no access to BIS (email, apps, internet, mms). I believe Orange and T-Mobile offer a pay as you go Blackberry add-on.

You would need to make sure the Blackberry was unlocked and remove the Vodafone branding.
