9700 Offer - any good?

Hi,

I have been offered a 9700 on Orange

600 mins
550 texts
Unlimited data/email
Home broadband
18 month contract £22 p/m

But have to pay £45 for the phone.

Does this sound good?

I am coming froma long string of Nokias, will I get on ok with a blackberry? If I didn't and wanted an iPhone would the tariff be ok for an iPhone?

Thanks

I'm going to assume this is a retention deal that Orange have offered to keep you on the contract. Considering they charge £45 a month for the 9700 to get it free this is pretty good, plus the broadband etc...

Regarding phone usage - the 9700 is pretty easy to get along with, nice interface and great for texts/emails - if you use it for that kind of thing!

Hi

This is not a good deal its a very good deal.

You are getting a top of the range Blackberry, lots of mins, text, data & your home broadband for £22 per month. This is a very good deal, if you are ready to upgrade to a Blackberry* then call them back and bight their hand off.

On Vodafone a 9700 starts at £40 per month on an 18 month contract with 600 mins, unlimited text, unlimited Blackberry and Bis.

* Blackberry offer a great product, however its very much centered around email. Think of it as an email device that has a phone feature rather than a phone that can handel email. Current Blackberrys like the 9700 do everything than most phones do, mp3, internet etc. However if you are coming from Nokia it will be a bit of a shock. You will find menus much more complex on a blackberry than you would on a Nokia, you will find a very different range of downloadable items for you berry than your Nokia. With those for the Blackberry being much more business focused.

Don't get me wrong I love Blackberrys and have had a steady line of them for the past few years but I am still learning what they can do. Its much more a smartphone than anything else. There is a great site called Crackberry.com that will give you lots of help.

Smile Bold 9700 Good Deal

Hi

Just looking at feedback on the Blackberry Bold 9700 as I have just bought one, and came across this listing. I got a good unlocked deal on an unlocked model for £379 at a company called blubba.co.uk

It came the next day. Looking for some good apps at the moment?
