As far as I know you wouldn't be able to use a Blackberry on 3, as Blackberry don't provide a service to 3. However you should be able to use just the phone without an email or messaging support if the phone is unlocked or SIM Free.

It works fine on contract, I dont know if it works on pay as you go, if thats what you ment by 3 sim only. Just call them up and ask for blackberry internet service to be added, costs 5 quid a month, push email and internet works fine!

So, 3 sell Blackberry Bold's and then don't give a Blackberry service

@ facial - if you find out then please let me know. I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Everyone that I've spoken to so far don't really know. The Bombay call centre is useless (they only want to sell you a Blackberry telling you that even an unlocked one won't work...so buy ours on a £30pm contract), and the shops never know either

The only reason that I keep asking, is that I suspect that you can. As enigma has said, it seems to be a £5 addon, and I suspect is the same as Internet Max:

3 - Internet & Services - Internet on your mobile - Internet on your mobile Service

3 - Internet & Services - Internet on your mobile - Internet on your mobile Service

Like you....would love to hear from someone who knows for sure

Sorry guys, I never got round to checking this thread until now.

I bought a storm 2 off ebay, stuck my 3 sim in, called them and asked for the blackberry internet service to be added, they did it and it worked right away - even though the guy said it would take 24 hours.

They did ask about my phone - because I did have a nokia, I just told them I bought an unlocked blackberry to use and that was the end of it.

So yeh it should work fine, mine does!

Hope that clears some stuff up!

Chris
