Copying contacts to sim? not one by one surely?

Hi,

My wife is getting an upgrade to a 8520 from a 8110. She needs to copy the contacts from the phone to her sim. I can only find out how you do this individually and even then you only get just the number and no other contact detail. Every phone I have ever had has been able to copy all the contacts to the sim. Can anyone help?

Many thanks.

Use the BlackBerry desktop software to back up files from her current phone and then to restore the files back onto the new phone.

SIM cards are terrible to save anything more than a name and number onto.

Excellent, works a treat. I have never used the software before. Can I transfer the old data to a new phone which is a different type? many thanks.

Lol tbh I have not either, just heard from friends that it works well and thought id suggest it.

I doubt it would work on a different brand of phone since the file made is specific to the BB software. Could give it a go though.

Remember to periodically back-up your data and contacts too.

The software works by syncing the data on the phone (contacts, calender, notes etc) with your pc.

If you then change to for instance a nokia phone you can install the nokia pc suite and sync the original data that way.

I have Blackberry, Nokia, SE, Samsung, LG and HTC Sync software on my comp.
