Which one Curve or wait till onyx?????

Ok impressed with the curve but to get it would mean tying myself into an orange/vodafone contract for 12/18 months, should i wait until the onyx comes out if so when is that likely?

Not worth going sim free, with a contract the network will subsidise the cost of the handset. Whereas sim free, Martylaa will pay for the handset and then pay the same monthly contract fee.

Doesn't make sense to buy it the handset sim free.

Re: Which one Curve or wait till onyx?????

i pay 11.60£ a month for my contract 800 minutes 1600 texts a free bolt on.. includes free BIS from o2...

it is alot better sim free.. you just have to get the right person to beable to give you a good deal..

not only is it only 11.60 a month is 12 month contract.. 12 month comes it will go down i guess.. since o2 has top signal where im located ill prob stay.. lol

Re: Which one Curve or wait till onyx?????

Does anyone know when the 9700 is going to be released? My contract is up late october and I'm not sure if I'll be able to resist running out and buying an 8900 or 9000 and regretting it, the 9700 does seem a good middle ground addressing the main failings of both the 8900 and 9000.

I know i need to ditch my current N95-2 though, not only is email painfull to use heavily but i've found myself spending more time on the internet than talking on the phone so really must switch soon.

Re: Which one Curve or wait till onyx?????

I believe its due out at the end of Nov early Dec, I have already taken the plunge and gone for a 8900 on Orange although im still contemplating what the Bold really would be like?.
I went with the 8900 due to the reviews all saying more or less buy this over the Bold as it seems to be a neater all round package but deep down im wondering if Ill miss the 3g aspect. And i.ve heard some terrifying reports on the stability of the Bold.

The Onyx and the Storm 2 do look impressive but for me the ultimate touchscreen phone out there is the iPhone bar none, Ill plum for an Onyx at some point but being my first Blackberry i think the 8900 probably is a good starting point.

Re: Which one Curve or wait till onyx?????

Hmmm i think i may pick up an 8900 on ebay and grab the 9700 early next year, then my other half can have the 8900 as she's lusting after a pink pearl at the moment.

I don't know if i'll miss 3G as my current nokia does use 3g and most of my mobile web browsing (several hours a day) has been using HSDPA so i'll see how it goes.
