Question Blackberry confusions

Just sold my HTC Touch HD and thinking about getting Bold.

Just wondering as i'm still on contract with Orange at the moment, can i just get Orange World data package for me to be able to use BBM?

Also should i get unlocked BB as i heard lots of people asking about BB PIN?

I'm thinking about getting used ones and just to make sure i can use it as normal

Many thanks

Re: Blackberry confusions

Also heard that i can't use BB email with my current contract unless i change it to BB contract?

As long as i can use BBM, so do i still need BB contract?

Thanks

Re: Blackberry confusions

After some reading basically i need BB Plan to use the full potential of BB.

As i'm on Orange contract right now, what's the best BB Plan they have and also do i need data plan for browsing as well?

Thanks

Re: Blackberry confusions

I have a BB Curve on Orange and I am on the Panther 35 Plan (18 months, but Panther 30 available for 24 month contract) and this gives the following:
600 minutes
500 texts (I think)
Unlimited email
512MB Browsing (uses free Wi-Fi when available)
Free Orange Maps

I am happy with it

Re: Blackberry confusions

basically means that you can send and receive as many emails/ bbm messages/ facebook messages as you like without getting charged IN THE UK!

normal roaming charges do apply, ive found its much cheaper to bbm someone whilst abroad rather than text @ 40p per text.

pm me if you need any bb help.
