I'm abroad at the moment and thinking about getting blackberry. I'm using HTC Touch HD at the moment but lots of my friends using BB back home and they're saying if i get BB i would be able to add them as friends and use BBM instead and a lot quicker than SMS?

My questions are if i get BB here in Asia, would i be able to use it @ home (UK) and also will i be able to add my friends BB PIN so i can add them and chat with them as some of my friends here at Asia as well.

Thinking about getting either Bold 9000 or Curve 8900, still not sure which one

short reply, Yes.

The Asian BB will work back home, however be aware of roaming charges.
When you travel back to Asia, your UK based BBM contacts will still be able to add/ message as usual.
