The Blackberry desktop software downloaded and installed the latest operating system for my Curve this morning (along with a few other things) and since then I have lost the facility to delete emails from my mail server.

When reading an email in the past on the Blackberry it has given me the option to "delete on server as well as on the Blackberry" or "delete on Blackberry only"

Does anyone know if this is supposed to happen as I like the facility to read emails on the Blackberry then delete them off the server as I don't want to return after vacation to find 250 emails on the mail server, all of which I have already read

I have mine set in the options to delete on server as well, so I don't get that message for every mail. Maybe you can do the same in options? It might be part of the new OS you have installed (not sure what verison you were on before or now).

Currently on 4.5.0.163 (Platform 2.7.0.92) but I can't find the option to delete or not for mail on the server

I'm on OS 4.6.1.250 on platform 4.2.0.113.

The option in mine (Javelin) is from email messages, select menu, messages options, Email reconcilliation, and the top item is Delete On:

From here I have 3 choices, Handheld, Mailbox & Handheld, Prompt. I guess yours was set to Prompt before your upgrade, but I believe that Handheld is the default option and yours was set to this after you upgraded.
