New BB Bold owner on Vodafone Live 3G

Hello

I just got an unlocked 9000 Bold and put in my Vodafone sim which already has Mobile Broadand Live 3G service. Seems to work ok.

I want to use it for push email, web browsing and as a modem for my laptop and TomTom.

So far all I have is webmail, web browsing in 3G, doesn't seem to work as a modem and it pairs with my Tom Tom but doesn't pass through internet access. The latter two I think I have an idea about as it may just be configuration. The same sim in my Vodafone SE C902 does these no problem.

So, firstly looking for any general advice to get the best from this and secondly is their any benefit in subscribing to Vodafones BB service? Vodafone aslo do their own Email plus service which seems to be similar and would work if I put my sim in any phone. at the moment i'm not bowled over by the BB but would like to see what it can do.
