Played a bit yesterday , was amazed the amount of mongs who would spend the whole game just waiting for a jet. At one point all but 3 of my side were hanging around and fighting over them!

Of course we lost that match

Best thing is that they probably dont realise that you can spawn into air support!!!!

I always laugh when i spawn into a jet and there people shooting at me because they have been trying to wait for one. "Watch my backblast loser!!"

bit off topic, but need a quick answer..

Im going to my local town now and can buy bf3 from game, sainsburys, tesco etc. but I was going to get it for xmas and pre order mw3.. But might do it the other way round now because of the good reviews

Do you think its worth getting bf3 now, or will mw3 be better? really dont know what to do:/
And Im not going to get both, one now and one for xmas.. HELPPP!

I started the single player campaign last night... and finished it a few hours later

I noticed quite a few obvious glitches, the gameplay is very scripted/triggered, and the ....saving.... delay gets a bit annoying at times, especially if it happens when you're in the middle of a firefight. Nice variety in the missions though, plenty to see, do, and kill

Very similar story to COD4/MW2 though ... And we finally get to see what Overlord looks like!

Do you know if they will be patching a Free For All multiplayer map?

Also has anyone had any problems with the game freezing and only way to restart is to power of ps3 and restart?
Happened a few times during the Sniper level also level design being blocky with random shapes appearing on screen

Yep, I had a few problems on that level (I think it's called Night Shift), I ended up having to restart it a couple of times.

Ok, so would you recommend the game over, waiting for Modern Warfare 3?
I could buy Battlefield 3 in a few minutes but would have to wait till xmas for mw3..:/

Only you can make that choice. No can say if one game is better as we can only comment on one. If you love COD more than BF then get COD.

I have cod and I like it, but I did love the Bad Company demo, but never got round to getting it:/ want to get both eventually, just really dont know which one to get first..:/

This is my first Battlefield game and I am very disapointed, Get COD had them all and IMO they are so much better than this one, but maybe I am waiting for something new to come from these games that they just dont seem to provide

Difficult to say really, BF3 is really good, I do like it... but perhaps it's not quite as good as all the hype and publicity makes out. The single player game is a bit brief (similar to COD games

), I've not tried the co-op stuff but it looks similar to the 2-player missions in MW2 Spec-Ops (ie. you need to work together to complete the missions which might get a bit frustrating if you have to rely on randoms). The multiplayer is really good but it's going to be a steep learning curve if you're only used to COD... BF3 is more about teamwork, use of vehicles, etc. ... there are a few issues with BF3 (both SP and MP) that need ironing out too.

But MW3 will probably have lots of launch day issues that could take a long time to sort out too.

Im absolutely loving this game but the Party system needs sorting otherwise it will not last long in my ps3. I was in a full squad of 4 last night and did not manage to join 1 game as a full squad. In a few of the games it put two of us on one team and two on the other.

We even thought that we would just play Squad rush, thinking well its only 4 a side they cant bugger this up.......... 2 on one side and two on the other.
ITS A 4 player team ***!

other than this i love the game, but this is sooo infuriating its beyond a joke, whats the point of a Alpha, Beta, demo and still not working.

Has anybody got a way around this?

FFA has never been and probably will never be in a BF game. Man up and play conquest soldier!!

To be honest TDM isn't really what the game is about either, conquest or rush are the proper battlefield game modes.

Are you playing it the same as a cod game? Could be where you're going wrong, it's not a run and gun game. I enjoy it, as I like to flank the enemy and let rip on them. In cod you get bogged down in one place, here you just work your way round and attack from another direction....works every time

Made the big decision to buy BF3 over MW3.. Mum's in sainsburys, im on the phone to her.. tell her to get the Limited Edition.. She goes to the check out.. A grumpy little lady comes up to get the sealed game from the stores.. mum comes home..

I GET THE GAME! :D

But something is wrong.. 'Limited Edition' isnt there..

The stupid lady picked up the normal copy, so I have the game wrapped in plastic, but not allowed to play on it.., have to go back tomorrow and swap for one of the 6 limited edition copys they have in stock FML.

tl;dr sainsburys gave me the normal copy, not limited. Have to wait till tomorrow to swap it
