Very, interesting.

Didn't realise that the main reason they went to Panny was to reduce costs for people to buy the set. Nice to hear him Jim being honest and saying that people aren't prepared to pay that much of a premium over a Panny set. Does this mean that 10G will be cheaper? Probably not since the 509 is expected to be only a couple of hundred pounds over the PZ800 series and as Jim said, they can maintain a premium with a superior product.

If only Panasonic reduced their prices and then hopefully Pioneer would follow suit.
