I'm actually finding it easier to navigate the forums with this app. Hell even browsed some sections of the forum I never go to. That can only be a good thing in my book.

Edit* Another thing, and I'll be gentle here. The splash screen is..."uncool". It needs to be changed IMO.

Like the app very responsive.
Also would like to see the classifieds up eventually.
Is there not a way just to view classifieds for now & not write to them via an Android phone?
Don't like the splash screen.

You may want do double check them and include the other two sizes if you want the design done properly

Sure Although, I'm gonna be gutted if I can't make something nice and flashy for the Android app as well.

Excellent App. I have noticed that when going to a thread with several pages you often get put on the last page. I guess that's to stop people from having to wade through lots of posts/pages. At least you can go to the page number of your choice. This happens on both the Android and the iPhone App, all in all a top App.

Can it be made default or people asked to turn off the "Sent from [device] using AVForums"? As it's just annoying.

No, what purpose does it serve?

Stuart asked people to turn it off when it Tapatalk did it.

Loving the app much much more better than using the awful taptaptalk app,

On the subject of it saying " sent from my iPhone" the inner child in me would prefer if it said ip00 rather than iphone

I suppose it all depends who you ask.
Yourself finds it annoying when some others will find it useful to know there is an iPhone or Android app available that don't venture into parts of the forum where that info is available.

IMO sometimes it helps sometime to know that a certain post was made from a mobile device due to less robust features than a pc or netbook.

i dont have a problem with it, because as soon as i see it i stop reading said post. dont like dont read it is my philosophy. If people want to turn it off they can do so at their own liberty.

its harmless and can also open up comedic avenues, as already seen by some members of AVF

A little feedback
1. Would be very handy is hardware search button could launch search.
2. Tried to report spam but just got a message about forum software being out of date
3. Can't find a way of adding anything to favourites. I am assuming this is subscribing to threads/forums but seems no way to do this within app?

Not sure if this has been asked or suggested but is it possible to include a link in the e-mail you get that informs you someone has posted a reply to a topic you have subscribed so that it opens it in the Android App?

I obviously use the Android app and read my e-mails on my phone so would be handy to open the app instead of the browser.

And the app doesn't allow viewing only. It's whole forums on or off unfortunately.
I see there's now a workaround now. Great news, thanks.

It's great that there's a mobile-friendly way to browse the forums now. Personally, I don't really like having a separate app for each forum, and I find myself using the forums that work with the generic forum-reading apps at least twice as often as I'll load up a specific forum app. However, I still check the specific forum apps at least twice as often as I'd call up the web page on the mobile

One thing that drives me crazy about the Forum Runner apps is that you can't bookmark or favourite a (sub)forum, you can only subscribe to a thread. You can go to a subscribed thread and then "Jump to" the forum it belongs to, but that's pretty annoying. If I'm missing a simpler way, please let me know -- otherwise it would be great to get this functionality added, but it doesn't seem to be there in any of the apps.

I still wish it were possible to use TapaTalk etc as an alternative to the native app -- is this a possibility when the new version of the forum is rolled out?

Can someone please advise as to why some member signatures don't show on posts when viewing on the iPhone app e.g. mine? I have enabled the 'show signatures' function in settings.
Cheers
Steve

Possibly because some members choose to turn of the posting of signatures.

Sure. An example is that I can see your signature on both my iPhone app and Safari. However mine only appears in Safari, as does veteran member Mark. Yudkin.
I'm sure there's a logical reason but I'm blowed if I can work it out!
Cheers
Steve

But then their signature wouldn't be seen in Safari either would it?

Question

I think its me being silly.... but i'll ask anyway!?

I'm using the iphone app for avforums (love it!!) is there any way of turning OFF email notifications for subscribed threads leaving me able to view the subscribed threads through the app instead of clogging up my email? (I still want to have email notifications for other stuff...)

also, my little red circle with the number of new/unread subscribed threads has disappeared!?...

Help?
