Custom Design Milan Plasma 3 Problem

I have just purchased this stand and noticed that my 40inch LCD makes the top shelf bow slightly! The shelves are built to take up to 30kg; my TV is only 20.5kg. Is the glass faulty. I would appreciate any help with this issue. Cheers.

Update - Custom Design have shown excellent customer service and will be providing me with a slightly thicker upper shelf to cure the problem. Cheers.

Out of interest where/who did you purchase this off? And did the retailer not help solve the problem?

Hi Wired-man, the stand was purchased from Peter Tyson, but due to the nature of the fault, I wasn't too sure that they would be able to help. Further emails from Custom Designs mentioned that although they would issue a replacement shelf and wooden side blocks, I would have to return the first glass shelf at my expense. The glass shelf is very heavy, so I don't know what that will cost................
