Which stand for a Sony KDL40L4000

My wife just came home with this TV from Tesco - bargain price and brilliant pictures from DVD (normal not even blu-ray). Purchased as KV32LS60U would not power on (blinking lights 3 times or 2 times) and we didn't think it was worth repairing.

Anyway the old set is going in the classified in case anyone wants it for spares, in the meantime the new TV is on the old stand.

Looking at the base of the new TV there is a bolt hole in the stand at the back - the instructions say to secure with strong cord to another screw at the back of the stand. But which stands have a hole at the back, clearly not the glass shelf ones? Anytime I do a search on stands, whether Sony or generic, I cannot see anything in the details that indicate there is a screw hole to secure or even place to put a screw into.

Do I need to go to a Sony shop?
Any help with choosing a stand would be appreciated, if its got glass doors it would be better at keeping the 2yr old's grubby mits off the DVD/Video/Sky + box.

Cheers

Re: Which stand for a Sony KDL40L4000

Hi

Presuming your stand is going against a wall or in a corner you can tether the TV to the wall using an eye bolt or simple hook. This does the same job and saves you modifying or drilling your stand.

Regards
Graham
