Glass Film

Hi all, when i redone my livingroom i made my old fireplace into a cupboard to hold my sky box, dvd, stereo and xbox and sunk my lcd into my chimney breast. Im really happy with it all apart from the being able to see everything through the glass window in the cupboard.

I originally bought glass that had been coated black to hide everything but the remote controls didn't work through it and i had to strip it back to clear. I have since tried window frosting spray and window frosting film but both have been rubbish. Could anybody point me to something that will hide everything from view but still let remote signals pass through. Im not too fussed if its dark or frosted and it doesnt have to totally hide everything completely.

Cheers

Re: Glass Film

Thanks for the idea but it seems like too much hassle for what i want. Im thinking of maybe trying to get some cloth like they use on speaker grilles and just pinning it on the inside of the door, or fine mesh that i could pin on. Just something to let the signal through and hide the boxes. Thanks again though

Re: Glass Film

Used Limo window film from the local car accessory shop on my cabinet, bit fiddly to apply but looks good and works perfectly (dont buy the metalised ones)
