Alcove wall mounting LCD advise

Hi, i am unfortunate enough not to have a flat wall (perfect cinema setup option). My tv (Sony 40w4500) would need to be place in an alcove. The alcove width is 1050mm wide.

I would like to wall mount the tv, but the bracket would need to pull out by about 30 - 50 cm, turn and tilt. The problem i then have is although the tv would be at its best position where do you put the centre speaker? Does anyone know'have pictures of a similar situation?

If i go for a cab it would have to be something like the alphason ambi 800 style. However, i think this is a little low.

My equipment is 40w4500 (around 97cm wide), Denon 3805, Sky HD and PS3.

Any advice would be appreciate even if it is just a link.

Re: Alcove wall mounting LCD advise

I had a similar dilemma as the previous owners built a 5" deep aclove into the brick fireplace...just the right size for the 40" LCD they had...and I wanted to put my 58" Panny plasma on top ...so needed a mount that would allow me to have the screen 5" out as it were.

the only one I found at the time (18 months ago) that was good enough for 70Kg etc was a rather expensive (£300) Ultimount UCL-X...I am very pleased with it though - the package, quality, instructions, perceived strength of the mount was far better than the other 2 mounts Ive got elsewhere in the house on 37/32" screens...so yeah, a top mount, just costs top money

cant help with the centre speaker, as mine is a wall mount Gallo Ref Centre, so its mount is just screwed directly into the fireplace underneath
