AV furniture

Hi

I've decided it's time to change my Alphason 4 shelf glass stand unit for a nice low sleek cabinet to help hide all the cables which reside behind the amp, ps3,skybox,dvd-r etc.

Ideally I'm after something that's matte black wood as the glass is a bit of a dust magnet. I don't have the space to use one of the lack units as their width is too long, so somethings that has space for 2 components side by side is what I'm after.

The Amp and Ps3 both need room to breath, so they can go on top of the unit and ensure the mains sockets, and the cables from the TV which pop out of the wall are hidden from sight.

I'd like a unit with no legs and a back ideally and no doors on the front.

Suggestions pleeeeeeeeeeease

Re: AV furniture

Black surfaces will show up dust too, whereas natural wood less so. Have you considered bespoke, what is your budget?

Re: AV furniture

Hi

I know the black will still show dust, but less so than the glass.

I've not really set a budget as I want to get the right cabinet.

The room it's going in doesn't really lend it's self to natural woods as the main colours are pretty bold with the plasma and av components being black.

can you recommend any bespoke furniture websites?

Re: AV furniture

Google "Hold the Music". Top quality racks made to your own design and specification. You get a piece of real furniture made from solid wood and you can choose from various finishes.

Re: AV furniture

Thanks for the links

I'll take a look when I get home, I wasn't really wanting one with a door.....but that doesn't look too bad on the "lil" iPhone screen

I'll google the hold the music when I get in.
