Granite Plynth's for speakers ?

Just seen a pair of granite plynth's on Ebay that are aimed at going under your speakers to ''focus the base'', does anybody have these and do they work. The guy is selling them for £150 !!!! But i have something similar on my kitchen worktop which has the teapot on !! That cost £14.99 from Argos and is the same dimensions but not quiet as thick, would his slab be that much different to the Argos efforts ?

Re: Granite Plynth's for speakers ?

If you want something very big and chunky have a search for 'granite surface plates' on ebay, I have them under all of my speakers and are great. the large ones i have weight about 34kgs each though! quite cheap for how much granite your getting.
